Gillian McCoy is a versatile musician from Oxfordshire with a passion for teaching. She has over 13 years of experience teaching classical and jazz piano, as well as popular music vocals.


Gillian helps her students to find their own creative voice and unique path in the world of music through tailoring lessons to their interests and style of learning. Her expertise teaching people of all ages and abilities has led to her teaching in both primary and secondary schools, as well as privately.


Gillian's also has a YouTube channel ‘Dulcimer Gillian’, dedicated to promoting and teaching the mountain dulcimer, a lesser-known instrument. Her recent accomplishment of earning a PgCert in performance teaching from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama highlights her ongoing commitment to education.


Gillian’s performing career recently includes writing and performing in the 6-piece band, WolfNote. Their collaborative approach produced an award-winning album has earned them a spot on the main stage at the Henley Festival through the BBC Introducing program. In her spare time, Gillian enjoys spending time with her family and knitting colourful hats.
